From my point of view, M&E are important throughout the life of the project because Monitoring permits to know if activities go straigh-out to the goals defined at the conceptual phase. It hepls to collect many data at different time and phases of the project, which would lead to have a global vision of the project, and will serve to evaluate locally and or globally the project at different stages.

M&E has various reasons why it is important. One of those reasons is that it helped provide organization with a source of information that showcases how projects are progressing. Secondly, it allows people working on projects to learn of each other’s experiences build expertise and also share knowledge. M&E also enables organizations to generate reports that contributes to the accountability and transparency and enables personnel to share information easily. M&E further enables actors to reveal mistakes made along the way and offer paths of improvement and learning. Overall, M&E allows organizations to structure projects in a way that not only helps stick to the larger goals but also reveal significant information that can be used to improve the projects and the organizations at large.

Introduction: This is a project that will let girls borrow small amounts of money(microloans)
Goal: To lend small amounts of money(microloans) to 1200 girls in 34 Kenyan villages in the next six months.
Measure progress: Every field office will have one person to record the number of girls who borrow the loans and the amount they get.
Plan to collect information: Collect information on how the microloans change the lives of beneficiaries, how beneficiaries repay the loans, what beneficiaries think about the project and how the project can be improved.

It is always good to have an M&E plan before the implementation of any project. This serve as a guide to ensure project is on track and create a room for adjustment. Though, M&E plan is not always a linear progression, sometimes subject to adjustment to suit the reality of the field.

Risk and Assumptions:
It is important to plan for risks and assumptions ahead of time is so that you can understand events and conditions that are unforeseeable that might affect your implementation, therefore giving you enough time to make
decisions at the right time.
We tested for our assumptions and risks within our logframe by looking at our past events and seeing out of those activities we
had implemented some of the common assumptions and risks.
Then we go through our beneficiaries and ask them what would be some of the assumptions that we had put along whether they fitted and finally we looked at the list
of activities that we did and listed some of our assumptions.
A common assumption that we had is that Kenya will have a new government by the end of August of this year. Unfortunately this didn't go on because there was prolonged
electioneering process and brought a repeat of elections.
Out of this it meant that we could not implement our project. We created a subgroup that included our beneficiaries and they could inform us about the risks that are on the ground
and we could plan appropriately.
We also adjusted our work plan and our targets.

in the case of second project the project manager and project team know the donor demand, they that donor want to have accurate information from the field, the project progress, from the project goals, project outcome and project baseline, therefore now the project manager realized they need for project Monitoring and evaluation plan. therefore the project Monitoring and evaluation plan is the key for the successful implementation of the project and every project should have accurate M&E plan.
