  • I coordinate and help manage a refugee youth mentoring program at a designated Comprehensive Refugee Services organization covering 3 counties which is underwritten by the state's Dept. of Children and Families and the Federal Office of Refugee Resettlement through the Dept. of Health and Human Services. I also established its recruitment, training, and curriculum protocols, and am looking to establish its sustainability through better program and organizational management and planning. The program is in its second year and has the potential to grow and to improve its methods. From this, I am interested in pivoting to policy analysis on immigration, but most particularly on refugee and asylee policy especially in recognition of families, females, children, and members of the queer community that are under supported by current policies, programs, and administrative processes. I have experience working for a national advocacy organization working on federal policy in support of arts and cultural agencies and organizations. I am also interested in rhetorical constructions used in policy and law not just to see what they do to whom, but how they constitute and construct different modes of structural meaning that shape systemic operations.

  • Good luck to you!

  • Hello Everyone! I, Samina Bibi, possess more than four years of professional experience in development sector. I have gained diversified experience in various thematic areas including Gender, Education, GBV, WASH, Health, Livelihood, and DRR. I have provided technical support in the implementation of projects of NGOs, INGOs, UN Agencies and Government sector, in doing so, I have gained hands-on experience in conducting research, baselines studies, evaluations, strategic planning and development, stakeholder mapping, and capacity building training. Currently I a, working with an international organization - Cesvi Pakistan- as M&E Officer.

In my current role, I have been able to gain an extensive knowledge on data collection, data management, data analysis, research and report writings. Furthermore, I devotedly work with the organization’s esteemed implementing partners, donor organizations, local stakeholders, government officials, and many more. Cesvi and the local implementing partners are engaged to address the needs of the returnees who are newly returned to their native areas, after years of displacement because of war between the country's Army and the militants. I have been involved in the implementation of various humanitarian and relief assistance projects, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), data collection, data analysis and report writing. Moreover, being a valued resource at Cesvi, I manage to coordinate with the partner organizations on data collection process, monitoring and evaluation procedures and implementation plans through capacity building sessions and one to one meeting. In my current experience, I have been getting a chance to conduct field visits and understand project implementation and M&E process.

A promising part of my career also involves voluntarism in the field of networking, gender and social inclusion. I deem myself fortunate to gain first-hand experience with the Parliament of Pakistan at SDGs Secretariat National Assembly. Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) and SDGs Secretariat provided me an opportunity to polish my interpersonal skills and to learn the protocols of high-level political forums. This experience enables me to understand the demography of development issues in the country and view policy level initiatives in the spectrum of utility of the masses.
