I cant understand properly.
OTHER THING TO CONIDER IS MUCH BETTER.
well i understand
Unfortunately I have tried all that has been directed to me by reaching out to help desk and still have been unsuccessful. Sorry couldn’t be of more help.
I’m sorry to hear you’re having difficulties with the work but if it’s any consolation I myself in the beginning of module one was struggling as well for it’s been many years that I’ve had to apply myself in a school setting however it does get better so hopefully you stick with it
Breaking down the process is very useful especially when applied to real life advocacy within a local context.
I think one can also consider the size and possibly level of education of the target audience while choosing an advocacy strategy.

I think that when you are considering an advocacy strategy, you always need to look at what else is going on in the landscape. Timing, other factors, outside influences, willingness of partners etc... are all things that you need to consider. I also think, as the reading suggested, that interim outcomes can be good sources of knowing if you are on track or off track. Much advocacy work is lengthy and feels like you are spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere. This is why interim outcomes or "little wins" can be important to keep your focus or to keep you on track.
I'm not clear on what I am supposed to respond to. There is no discussion paragraph.
Based on the project that I have answered all my questions about up to this point, I am wondering how I will apply all of this to it...my problem seems small in comparison to the example. The information has been excellent, though!
It is important to maintain integrity in developing and implementing an advocacy strategy. An advocacy organisation has to maintain independence even in its bid to provide support to government officials and organisations. This will ensure that they do not pass off to the public as government moles or two sided.
What I understand about this module is the importance of careful selection of audiences. It is important to move people from awareness to action. I really love how they summarized everything into 4 steps. Get the right people in the room, who are the people or audiences we are trying to reach and what we want them to do, what the motivations are that would make them act and finally, what information, data or stories are available and being presented.
I really appreciated the summary for this module as it really drew out all of the important points for how to assess your audience and how to best persuade your audience what you would like them to do?
Well, some of the modules especially module 5 is very difficult to understand, but i am sure by careful reading and following the explanations you can understand it better. Anyway, it needs time and commitment.
Thank you
Yes, of course. By careful reading you will also understand the others. Keep your time.
Thank you
Yea I'm a little confused to.
I'm pretty confused too n I buggered up on my assignment by not making myself clear in the circumstances gutted
Yea I got a little confused too

What is it that you need help with under module 3?
Kinda confusing
I can't open the strategic framework PDF and so, couldn't answer the quiz correctly.
very useful
What's the particular problem?
Keep it up
Wel said
Keep it up.
Right view
What are the other things
May be you are to wait for the response.
You may start a topics.
Right said.
Complex but with continous practice, it can be understood
I agree!
Yes. I agree with this. It will help you to bring balance as well as effective communication, because no one (the highest level or even the lowest level of education in the group) would be left out while you're communicating your ideas and strategies.
Same here. However, I've been able to sieve out the information that is applicable within the context of the problem that I have to solve. I'm sure you will have done that too.
I am unsure about what I am supposed to respond to.
What stood for me in this module is making sure that the right audience is targeted when trying to make change. It is also important to ensure the right tactic is chosen in order to influence the audience towards the desired. However, I believe no one tactic is the solution and a combination of tactics can be used to gain the desired outcome.
I have not understood well the topic
well said and captured
It really is, but after the answers were revealed it did make much more sense
This is a very interesting module as I have learnt to take things step by step in achieving a better result. From AWARENESS to WILL then ACTION for the AUDIENCE.
In creating advocacy strategy we need to choose the right tactics to proper environment (parameter) for persuading the audience for changes. Without proper consideration of actual environment the advocacy strategy will definitely fail.
It may happen during implementation of the advocacy strategy the parameters on which the strategy framework was designed changes due to different factor, the organization should have maximum flexibility capacity to adopt new tactics for the changes.
Is to have different skills and capability to persue different tasks. This can be easily attained through partnership.
Any option to retake the quiz
Who is here to guide right now?
Yes me too😊
Request into discussion forum if anyone here can check my assignment then please do it asap
To me, it ultimately comes down to having a clear understanding of your goals, and understanding your target audience. Research and analyze. The more insight one has into the thoughts, and beliefs of their audience, the more effective your strategy will be.
This module has presented us with using adequate tactics in causing a change. It is not only all right to identify the problem, and the strategy to use, but also proper tactics must be adopted. And in doing this, the audiences must be considered. The audience could be the public or influencers of policy makers or decision makers themselves. Making tactics is complex because it interlocks several complications.
Choosing of advocacy strategies is very vital as different audience demand different approaches

Have been able to understand what i need to do and consider for a successful advocacy
I learnt two key things from this module. Firstly, to always begin a conversation by having something new to say with regards to new research, data,an appealing story that will tickle the fancy of your audience and to offer practical solutions to problems.
Secondly,to present a new research in a compelling manner to the public.
I am also struggling a bit in how to apply my case to policy change (or vice versa), although glad my eyes are being opened. I'm used to operating in a media and PR role, but I'm excited to be learning the in-depth practices to be applied from this course.
Sometimes you have to wait for a response
Their are so many different approaches to advocacy you can use
Very good information on advocacy and how to have a strategy that targets the right people.
This module is a bit more complex than module one and two

Yes and this involves critical thinking.
Thats true.
I had to read over and over again.
Yes, and it also gives an explanation on what module 3 is all about.
Thank you
Same here 😪
Interesting module - I think I hadn't considered how much a grassroots style organisation fits into the wider picture
Advocacy for me is about identifying the problem to be addressed, understanding the political context and involving the recipients of the solution you are trying to proffer, making sure that the intended outcome will really meet their needs and that they will cooperate with you to achieve it, identifying your audience – those who are in a position to cause a change (e.g. policy makers, decision makers, influencers, etc), reaching out to your audience and engaging them with evidence-based data within the right time frame and identifying your interim outcomes to gauge your progress towards the big picture – your goal.
It was really hard to understand what you was trying to say.

Wonderful job
Both me. I really don't understand this discussion chart
In addition to all other things that have been discussed, the cultural dynamics of a place should be considered when developing an advocacy strategy. What is culturally permissible in one culture could be a no no in another cultural context.
Indeed one organization cannot possess all the tools needed to effect change it therefore needs to collaborate with like minded organizations
In selecting a advocacy tactic one has to consider the audience
The audience and political context are great determinants in selecting a tactic
think one can also consider the size and possibly level of education of the target audience while choosing an advocacy strategy.
learning how to use tactics is important
I have learned a lot on advocacy and I think before choose an appropriate advocacy strategy, you need to actually consider the literacy level of the target audience.. this will simply facilitate the audience understanding
I agree with you because it will make it easier to meet your goal
A very well explained module..I like it
Personally, I have learned a lot on the past three modules and my mind is continuing being equipped with more advocacy skills
I think that when you are considering an advocacy strategy, you always need to look at what else is going on in the landscape. Timing, other factors, outside influences, willingness of partners etc... are all things that you need to consider. one also needs to chech on the level of literacy of the audience so as to choose an advocacy strategy.
other things to consider is much better
I scored a circle"⭕" with module 3 quize.,getting tougher
Breaking down the process is very useful especially when applied to real life advocacy within a local context.
This so encouraging thank you
I think that environment analysis is crucial in advocacy driving.
and not to mention, how it helps to mitigate potential risks.

I agree that breaking down the process of how to use advocacy strategies helps, but I would like to see more examples displayed. Thus far I am enjoying the course.
Your not alone so did I.
Taking more time to carefully digest this module will aid better understanding
