  • It is important to build rapport through initial stages during household survey of the beneficiary families. It provides space to introduce self, organization and purpose of the survey leading to proposed intervention.

    The community leaders equally must be taken into confidence that it is an important health aspect of community health, to extend support.

    The range of individual, families and neighborhood interactions (one to one, group discussion, workshop) are necessary to convey why is it important, how you plan to do it and what the long term and short term benefits are going to be.

    Community leaders --> Families --> Girls - could be the initial direction of effort. Working closely with each of these must be the beginning.

    A bunch of girls getting educated, number of families getting convinced would bring in involvement of other families to support participation of girls into the programme.
