Pitfalls of ToC
I worry that my organization might ignore this pitfall : Not confirming the plausibility of your theory. Because it didn't take the time before hand to internal dialogue, the process should not conclude without a concerted effort to verify whether your “theory” is plausible. To avoid this, I will make effort to refine its theory of change included a thorougth “literature review” and meta-analyses to determine if ToC is plausible . Though these efforts took time they helped my organization perfect their program model and program delivery practices in advance of implementing changes.
