  • UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES FOR NON PROFITS

    Re: Module 3: Unintended Consequences
I am mentoring an NGO working on the issues of Disabilities. It works on need based Training cum Rehabilitation of the Children and Adults with Disabilities (CAWDs) living in urban slums and rural villages covering parts of the State in India. Though the main aim it to work for the empowerment of these CAWDs, it is expected to have some unintended consequences from teh Families, Communities, Local Bodies, Fudging Agencies As this NGO expected while planning itself, necessary precautions have been taken to minimize these consequences which are negative and unhealthy.

Basically it comes under SWOT Analysis to anticipate the Threats (T) and plan for its minimization by reducing the Weaknesses (W) and enhancing the Strengths (S) & Opportunities (O). Th action plan made out of SWOT Analysis with effective and efficient Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) System with scope for Social Auditing (SA) will keep Non Profits more indicatively and creatively for better Outputs, Outcome and Impact.

  • With such motto and planning, moving on with such Non Profits and ready to support such Non Profits.
