    I think in as much as we may want staff and volunteers to improve their skills in a particular field it is important for them to see and understand the need for skills improvement. One time my organization set up a one week training program on mental health which was to improve our knowledge on the topic before community outreach on the same . I personally did not see the need for and same goes for my colleagues therefore most of us come out with having have gained nothing from the training session since we were not consulted or informed first.
