  • What does it take to be a great fundraiser?

Fundraising is not fiction, it is not writing a poem either. Being a good fundraiser entails that, you have to be objective in your presentation, know about the donors whom you are writing to for funding by asking questions like, Is this funder the right fit to my organization? Does your organization have the number the funder wants? Does the activities of your organization tally with the funder's intended project? Answering some of this questions without bias already gives you a lead into your
    work.
Another point worthy of mention is, some fundraising approvals take time. To this end, you the organization must be patient, tolerant and be the type to take "no" in good light.
On the whole, fundraising means you must be existing, be sincere, have records to support your presentation and a whole lot.

  • Great organization mission, Networking, Strategic Plan, Permanent follow-up, Accountability...
