INTRODUCTION TO ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES
At one time, if you wanted to start an organization that solved a social issue, you created a nonprofit organization. Those days, however, are far behind us. Today, social entrepreneurs have the option of several different organizational structures.
For example, social ventures in the United States can choose among the following types of structures:
Sole proprietorship
Partnership
Nonprofit
Corporation
S-corporation
Limited Liability Corporation
Low-profit Limited Liability Corporation
Benefit corporation
Flexible purpose corporation
Cooperative
Different types of organizational structures will be available in different countries, so it is important that you consider the context of your own country. In general, however, these structures can be divided into three main types:
For-profit
Hybrid
Nonprofit
As you work through this module, compare the benefits and limitations of each organizational structure. To help you keep track of the different organizational structures, you may wish to keep notes in the optional study guide below:

Module 1 Discussion: Mission Statement
Respond to this prompt after completing the content in Module 1.
Post your mission statement in the discussion forum. If your organization does not yet have a mission statement, use the readings from this week to draft one.
Comment on at least two other learners’ mission statements. Indicate (a) whether you think it is likely to attract few or many donors and why and (b) whether you think they are likely to face a great deal of funding competition and why.

"Vision, Mission, and Values" are fundamental components of an organization's identity and guiding principles. They help define the organization's purpose, goals, and beliefs
@Evergreen That great, these three components create a strong foundation for an organization's identity, strategy, and actions. A well-defined vision, mission, and set of values guide the organization's growth, inspire its stakeholders, and ensure alignment toward a common purpose.
Hi, thank you guys to share, glad to read all of the comment about this topic.
Participating in this module has been a rewarding experience for me. I've gained a clear understanding of the distinctions between a vision and a mission, and I've been guided through the process of crafting effective vision and mission statements.
I enjoyed the session and have even gone further to review my venture's Vision, mission, and core value statements.
This topic was incredible, got more insight
This was a very useful Module! I have often lacked clarity on the difference between Mission Statements and Vision Statements, despite having looked it up several times. Actually seeing different examples, reading articles specific to each the mission and vision statements separately, and then completing the worksheet and reviewing our peers was useful. I work with an organization that recently revised its mission and vision statement. This module prompted me to think that employees could have been more involved in the process to make sure it resonates, and better trained on how to embody this in our day to day work and in communications with stakeholders or even friends/family when discussing our employer.
Nice one
I learnt so greatly
This is beautiful

Vision also learnt
