A characteristic feature of a social entrepreneur is EMPATHY, which is the foundation of human centered design. I saw somewhere that empathy is, "seeing with the eyes of another, hearing with the ears of another and feeling with the heart of another ".
Our products or services should primarily serve our clients before enriching our pockets.
Social entrepreneurs are in business to create impact.
I love the engagement in this course. Immersion in the daily lives and struggles of would be client's makes it easy to design a tailored solution.
The application of the lessons learnt in our response whilst completing the assignment was too great.

In solving problems, there is the need to first clarify what the problem is so that the proposed solution would bee sustainable and not a momentary quick fix.
Very true! The best ideology of a social entrepreneur is that money must come second after the intended impact has been achieved for the community development or change.

I've never really considered this approach before. Like the author, I thought entrepreneurship was just something "suits" did. I didn't consider myself an entrepreneur at all. Maybe that's because I've been a social entrepreneur the whole time!
It was a nice experience to learn social entrepreneurship I'm ready to learn more.

In this module: Solving Problems, from the start, I was looking at the broader spectrum of word, problem. As I go along with topics, videos and readings, I was able to re-focus on asking myself , what specific problem I would like to solve. Reflections such as, in my situation right now that I have the product I can offer, can this be an avenue to solve concerns on Unemployment due to pandemic and help regain their self confidence?
Thank you for guiding me and helping me refocus and work out something along with my mission and vision.

It was an interesting module. I learned What social entrepeneurship is, i learned the 3 spaces of the design thinking (inspiration, Ideation and Implemetation)...
Getting to know the problem through what the people aren't saying, says a lot. I couldn't agree more that coming up with solutions first isn't going to necessarily solve the problem.
being a new social entreprenuer, am overwhelmed by the knowledge that i have acquired through this lecture it has opened my understanding and has also given me a good positioning on how one can start up a social venture which can show impact to a community.
Great topic and practical. I had a great time learning through it.
It's really an interesting, educational and fun full session. Learned new techniques (toolkit) in solving problems and also how to go on about it.

GENIAL COURSE AND INTERESTING COURSE
It is an amazing module. for years we have been used to reading "Eureka" methodology of success stories where idea just came to Entrepreneur. But Social Entrepreneur needs just more than Eureka Idea because his or her idea impacts people, community and society. To design such a venture , immersing with an idea is not enough, one has to get first hand version of a problem ecosystem which can only be understood well by participating, learning, understanding and if possible stand closer to the problem and feel it. Human centered designs makes the process much enchanting.
The education here is really interesting and innovative as it has opened me to new area of knowledge especially on design thinking for social innovation, how to frame my own design challenge and even basics on how to use a fillable PDF worksheet.
Let's say it was one more lesson and more knowledge about what I came here looking for.
in this module i have leaned different ways of solving human problems in our society and find ways to get solutions.
It has been an insightful module. As a social entreprenuer I have learnt quite a lot on how to solve problems in a community.
I learned a lot from the design tool kit, too. Most of the questions I had regarding my social venture has been well addressed.
Insightful
working as entrepreneur for future benefit of community
this is a great class, I learned a lot about social entrepreneurship, etc.
really great i found this. really thank u
8 step to problem selving :
I like the Human Centered Design once you have identified a problem that you can solve it is important not to think of your own solution and implement it because people might reject it and it may cost alot of money. You can observe what has worked in other neibouring villages and use that as a basis to formulate your solution. also consider the culture, way of life, method of income and income of the people for whom you want to provide a solution
