Hi everyone, I'm Anthony Alake M&E officer in the Ondo State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget. I'm happy to be here cos I have been learning so many things that I believe will be useful to me on the job
@Obehi2018 this is great that what the platform also encourage how we can connect, work together and make our world a better place. Nice one I am also available to connect.
This week, we are going to begin another new program within this community: Share a Story!
Here, you can share a video, news article, or even your own story that you want to share with the community, for us all to discuss. This is a great place to think and talk about stories, topics, and issues in Nigeria, especially those that involve the work of civil society organizations. If you have written an article or shot a video, feel free to share that too!
To start, check out this story about a team of five teenage girls from Nigeria who recently won an international technology competition for their innovative app, designed to identify deadly fake drugs and save lives.
Here is a video that the girls shared as well: Youtube Video
What do you think about the story? Do you have others you want to discuss? Share below!
The girls are incredible. Nigeria, especially Northern Nigeria will experience a great development if our young girls are allowed to fully enjoy formal education . this will reduce underage marriage and give the girls a chance to lead a good life and pursue their dreams and careers.
It's a thing of joy to be in a community so caring and supportive. I have a serious project. This has to do with abandon children in the City of Calabar, Cross River State of Nigeria.
I want to see how this children can be rescued from the bit of hell into the glorious kingdom of light of our dear LORD. I therefore seek for advice on how to go about this? God bless us all
I just completed the course in the last session. I'm currently taking Project Management. Thanks
That is great to hear! Do you have any thoughts or learnings from the course that you would like to share here? Is there anything specific to M&E in Nigeria that you think would be useful to discuss? I am glad you are continuing to take courses and are currently participating in the Project Management course!
Looks like your connection to PhilanthropyU was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
