Data management is an administrative process that includes acquiring, validating, storing, protecting, and processing required data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data for its users. It is a broad term that can refer to a role (a data manager), while also referring to an organizational responsibility.
Within the parameters of data management exists responsibility for the entire data life cycle, from collection to consumption. This includes its point of origin (data provenance) and trans-formative journey from origination to current point of reference or observation (data lineage). These attributes are particularly useful in managing data: By describing the journey of a piece of data, visibility becomes available throughout the data pipeline, checks can be monitored, and incidents of compromise or failure can be traced directly to the sources. Data management is often not prioritized as it should, and IT and data engineering may not be a skill set that companies have on premise

I just learned about the data flow and how it makes the work of officials, management, participants and other stakeholders easier because everyone would know their role and the organization will be productive and produce higher and quality stats. My organization so far had poor data flow because everyone did everything so having learned today will help us improve a lot

I understand your problem, indeed if the data set is too big then it becomes overwhelming to verify all the information you have. What we are currently doing in my organization is to break up the process of data entry, collation and analysis. We have field officers that collect, enter and send the data to managers, who in turn send to the MEL team. This process was choking up the MEL team as they had a lot of work in making follow ups and verification. To sort this out we have given some responsibilities, accompanied by training to the field officers to analyse and consequently verify the data they get from the source. Their analysis is only at a micro level and strictly for data verification. this has taken some pressure off from the MEL team.

i would like to learn more about data analysis, data quality assessment and data storage.
Same here, I also wish to learn about these three and data use. I commented this on a previous response, but it might help you as well. Because you mention data storage, and since keeping the data confidential is important, I think knowing affordable places to store the data would be beneficial. My advice would be to store in pen drives or an external memory and these be kept under lock and key with only certain members to have access to it. It can be a viable option if not that many funds are available. Nonetheless, this works for digital data, if there are paper surveys, I think the best way would be to scan them and make then digital then dispose of the paper in order not to leave a trail and maintain confidentiality. For data analysis all I know is that there are existing platforms that help with these such as Minitab, R, SPSS, NVIVO, however, all of these can be a tad expensive and one still needs certain statistical knowledge to read, interpret, and understand the data and it's results. I don't know much about data quality assessment, so I am looking forward to learning about it.

Thanks for sharing what piece you’d like to learn more about @jkurama
Is data validation the same as data cleaning?
Data cleaning sometimes referred to as cleansing varies from data validation in that validation perpetually implies data is rejected from the framework at entry and is performed at particular time, as opposed to on groups of data.
The genuine procedure of data cleaning may include removing typographical mistakes or approving and redressing values against a known run down of entities.
On the other hand the validation might be strict, for example, adjusting records that matches with the existing known records.
I hope this helps, my colleagues are also here and will help throw more light
