No not having issues getting a partner.
It was awesome class.
This was a productive exercise and helped me become more conscious about my own listening skills.
Sure, first of all, you are right. The tradition of individual philanthropy is highly
developed in the US partly because we have tax laws that encourage it. And I am well aware that in
most countries in the world, that is not the case. But I still say, “People give to people” and it doesn’t
matter whether donors give as individuals or as bureaucrats or staff members within philanthropic
grant giving entities. So often, when I have gotten money from a foundation, it is because of a
personal connection or conversation with a person responsible for making the decision. Remember
too, that there are many organizations that get money from individuals through memberships or
selling products or arranging fundraising events even if they aren’t getting conventional individual
cash donations. The principles of relationship-building still apply.
I am available and ready for a listening Partner

i need a partner for the listening assignment. You must have taken the course a long time ago. But would you still be willing to work as a partner for me?
I am Vivencio from the Philippines. i have joined a social enterprise project of Gawad Kalinga involved in processing farmers' outputs to give them improved revenues for their crops: potatoes, peanuts, root crops. My main service is in raising funds to support the processing and marketing venture. I joined the Course to help me learn how to raise money effectively for nonprofits.
HI Isa,
Appreciate your volunteering as a partner. May i know your time zone/ country?

It was a great experience listening to my peers in the group.
Yes. So I was able to chat with my neighbor
yeah I was able to have a conversation with my co-worker
Hello All, lets partner up and have more from this course. thanks
Having an issue finding a partner, who can do mine?>
I did not use a co-worker but a friend for the listening activity. I explained my organization to my friend keeping in my my own score from the listening assessment. Considering the assessment and the activity my friend is a good listener but like myself we still have work to do to be good active listeners. A key mistake made by both was not being able to give enough silence- we continued to talk and talk and not give enough time for the other person to summarize efficiently.
thank you Rita for your time. the information we shared is incredible. thanks again
Jabuya
Please I need a partner for the listening exercise
Is this anyone who would love to connect to discuss more about fundraising?
Thanks
Gunit
Yes,I would love to partner with you
The process of fundraising involves three key aspects: making the ask, thanking the donor, and reducing anxiety. Making the ask is crucial as it directly solicits support from potential donors. It should be clear, concise, and compelling, tailoring it to the donor's interests, values, and capacity to give. Building rapport and establishing a connection with the donor beforehand can increase the likelihood of a positive response.
Thanking the donor is essential for fostering positive donor relationships and encouraging continued support. Expressing gratitude is crucial for fostering positive donor relationships and encouraging continued engagement. Sending a personalized thank-you message after receiving a donation, acknowledging their generosity and the impact of their contribution, and fostering a culture of gratitude within the organization can reinforce donor loyalty and encourage ongoing engagement.
Reducing donor anxiety is essential, especially if donors are unfamiliar with the organization or unsure about how their contribution will be used. To reduce donor anxiety, provide transparency and clarity throughout the fundraising process, communicate the organization's mission, goals, and financial stewardship practices, and provide detailed information about donation allocation and impact. Share success stories, testimonials, and updates on past projects to demonstrate credibility and track record of making a difference. Offering various giving options, such as recurring donations or designated funds, can provide flexibility and reassurance.
Looking for partner to discuss this curse
I partnered with a mentor that I met through LinkedIn, may be a good starting point for others who are struggling to find a partner, especially locally
It was very insightful and engaging module. And truly very enriching to learn each other's perspectives and experiences. My ultimate endeavor is to practice these valuable skills in my day-to-day interactions to foster better communication and understanding.
It seems to be difficult to explore venture in the beginning based on donor but we can expect for partners
