1. when she engages with the govt, she could show her interest to partner with the govt for the social cause, and if she could 'sell' the benefits to them, the govt can support her in terms of policy making as well as financially
2. she can tap into the govt resources to expand her network
3. with govt support, she could also garner support from other agencies since the 'big brother' is supporting her cause
