Growing up with a mother in clinical social work, I have been exposed to various social welfare situations. My

In my work travels I have been exposed to horrific social problems in African countries. My heart lies with those who suffer and not the politicians who rule them.

I am now seizing the opportunity to join the humanitarian industry. It is not a matter of money or
acclamations, but rather a purpose I need to follow. Not many people know of my intentions as not many
people can relate to it.

The reason for taking this course is to see how my experience and skills naturally falls in line with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, as required on humanitarian projects/programs. My name is Alf Namodi, working with a nonprofit called First Love Children's Foundation in Johannesburg. We serve vulnerable children from disadvantaged communities not only in Southern Africa but also other countries within the East African region as well as India.
