Today, Crowd funding is very effective platform to raise the funds. The crowd funding connects small donors, and support the program for longer years.
Social is used to connect societies with each other...and also used to initiate for fund rasing

Program statement is really important for us to identify what we need in the future as an outcome.
I am not using much social media but now have been convinced that social media is essential in mobilizing funds online.
engaging followers by having them ask questions or share personal experiences
Kavita gave a very enlightening and educational interview on the subject of crowdfunding. I have come across this term several times on the internet but i never dared to understand its anatomy and application , its a formidable tool for fundraising but you have to strictly follow the rules
With social media i already have an idea , just like in a business set up , although the ultimate goal is to sell your products but sometimes your posts should be designed to develop relationships with customers , listen to their concerns and provide answers , the same with fundraising its not always asking for donations , you can use posts to engage donors ,dialogue with them , read their thoughts and provide appropriate responses.
Indeed crowdfunding is an effective fundraising tool to reach out to a wide array of donors from small to big names , more it can allow you to employ your creativity , especially on the aspect of creating a compelling story and bring out one person to present a larger audience - i loved this part.
Thank you
I think that something that I learned in this course is how important is to create a community that feels related to your cause can change the destiny of your fundrasing that very interesting at the same time can make you feel that your are not alone in this cause
sharing experiences is always a good strategy but in personal opinion try to always renew the subjects because a success story can get old when is share few times
So what do you learn from all the topics learnt
I have learnt have alot about crowd fundraising, but one of the most important thing that I learnt is how setting up smart goal will enable you to achieve you fundraising campaign.
In the lesson I understood what smart goal is all about.
I am glad to deepen my knowledge on crowdfunding. The importance of social media in crowdfunding is undeniable ,but it mostly depends on how effective you use social media networks.
How to make a crowdfunding pitch that will captivate and target a large number of potential donors to a project's cause.
A crowdfunding tip that I found very helpful is '' use a few donations from big donors to raise many small donations ''.
I also found it helpful that Kovita Matthews talked about '' not using social media to directly mobilize funds ''.
I would have made that mistake, hadn't I taken this course.
It helped a lot.
Exactly, or in my case with the Belgian Breast Cancer Unity : organizing coffee days in October (breast cancer month) where donors can come and participate in '' pink ribbon activities '' like a marathon while wearing a pink ribbon etc.
I learnt that it is easier to use social media to convert contacts into donors
That is true. Using social media to mobilize funds could be very dangerous. Very enlightening course
Sure. This truly helped to know that you are also not restricted to specific donors.
Social media can help promote our work and diseminate the information to a wider audience.
It’s important to use hug quality pictures and sell a story but because that build a community so that you can ask for things easily
Programs like this could be usefull for some organizations

This is very enlightening indeed
Thanking your givers between a 48-hours frame after the donation!! This is so important!
indeed!! fantastic
Agree!! never done before, but will!
Create a community of donors using social media
I really enjoyed this assignment. I 've learned a lot from this course.
This assignment is my favorite. I learned a lot and I now understand crowdfunding.
Hello everyone, I have finished this course and need for someone to review my work in the assignments for modules 3 and 4. Could someone review my work please.
Thank you,
DéLise
I never knew the importance of social media for getting people to be aware of your cause and help build a community. Kavita's tips on how to do successful crowdfunding campaigns were invaluable. Going to print out and read again!
It's amazing course
The social media can bring people together and support a common course of action
Very informative and beneficial!
I learned that social media can be the easiest way of reaching the donors.
No, I don't have any experience
It is a real creative challenge to put on an online proposal a more emotional and personal side
I found the multiple ways she mentioned about using the social media, emphasizing the engagement to the detriment of donation itself, the most important part. In addition, there were interesting insights on what paying attention to when it comes to choosing the platform.
I agree! She underscores such a range of different aspects of social media that I haven't thought before.
I learned that i held onto a misunderstanding about the use of social media, that is thinking i could convert contacts into donors.
Good point. From what i have learnt i actually knew very little about crowdfunding.
I've learnt the importance of clarity and brevity when writing proposals, why clear goals and objectives are crucial to funders. How to budget and evaluate your programs, and finally, how to run a successful fund raising
Mostly importantly use any available media and time to convert into fundraising opportunities
I have learnt that both media are equally important online and offline
I have no experience about the matter and this course really help me to have new skills
technology is making easier to connect the world
the course is new and i learnt many issues how to use crowdfunding
I really liked the story and how important to make personalized and have a beneficiary tell the story of transformation because of the intervention of the project.
I learnt that crowd funding is not about wealthy donations but small donations that come from a community connected together through the social media.
This module has helped me to understand where to start with Crowdfunding and how to integrate social media strategy into this.
I don't know that we can create quiz for our fan page and make crowdfunding an interesting task.
I learned a proper manner for crowdfunding using social media and I'll be using this technique in my organization. It was really helpful.
I learned what crowdfunding is. I didn't know that it was all online. But I learned a lot from this module.
create awareness
Yes I had an experience with that
I have learnt that when creating a good story you need to have a individual with an effective character or a hero, the you have to connect the individual to the entire community, the story has to have a trajectory and to raise emotions for audience to connect and give towards the story.
Yes I had an experience with that
I really enjoyed the fact of giving yourself a deadline of 48h to thank donors and to use social media to engage with the people.
Social media is a great tool for advocacy and spreading awareness.
We used our social media to gain a base of supporters then we direct messaged them asking for support during our campaign.
The insights on crowdfunding were very informative. Getting donors with a compelling story was very useful for me. I am glad to see that I envisioned Social Media the same way it should be used.
Welcome to Fundraising on the Internet. Have you ever wondered why some online fundraising campaigns succeed while others fail? The answer might surprise you. Up next, Tom interviews Kavita Matthews, a crowdfunding expert who helps non-profit leaders in India to maximize the success of their online fundraising campaigns. Kavita has a lot of great tips to share, including how to use social media and your existing networks effectively.
Crowdfunding is a good subject
So what do you learn from all the topics learnt
Social is used to connect societies with each other...and also used to initiate for fund rasing
I really loved the tip Kavita gave about engaging social media users to develop a community, I love responding to polls on instagram for celebrities that I follow and I would definetly engage in this if I saw it as a feature used by a charity!

Exploring diverse platforms and integrating a persuasive narrative to reflect qualitative and quantitative analysis of problem statement
i learned a lot from this module.
helps to reach out to the audience (donors) give more time interact unlike offline fundraising .
To tell the story find a character and build a story about it to talk about your project and ask people to donate
A nonprofit I used to work for raised $50,000 in a short period of time. I think the difference was a video that was done that included cheerful messages from many of the kids that were benefitting from the project.
Using commemoration days like the world environment day, to plant trees , and get the media to cover the news
social media is actually one of the best ways to activate your existing network or within your own community to go out and help you reach out to people that you can not reach out to by yourself

not really the way my organization look for funds
crowdfunding is a great tool.I enjoyed this module
I interestingly learnt that social media is rarely used for direct conversions.
learnt that your contacts can automatically be converted to your donor
One social media practice is you can post your campaign materials on social media, monitor and respond to donors during the campaigns and as well thank donors as donations come in .
Awesome session! From the podcast i learnt that weaving my story around a character makes it compelling.
I think you got it wrong. One of the biggest mistakes is to think that contacts can be directly converted to donors.
This works. Our organization usually plans our health education around major world days for some ailments and we then use that to drive fundraising campaigns for our medical outreaches.
Yes you are right
Yes you are right
Such a great job
I learnt a great deal about crowd
funding and am ready to put the use of what i have learnt into action
Kavita, interview is very inciteful and a guide in raising crowdfund for projects.
You are right.
In my own view, setting SMART goals is key, getting stories straight, taking beautiful photographs, mapping of network, prepare to share on social media and prepare the communication materials in advance will help in delivering good crowdfunding any day anytime.
