This course really helpful for preparing me to start a new sucsse journey of fundraising for my organization, to be more effective I have to learn more about fundraising , so that I enrolled in PHILANTHROPY UNIVERSITY
courses which are connecting to donors and fundraising strategies.
This introduction to fundraising has helped me to understand the seven myths of fundraising, how to attract donors and different types of funding and fundraising
it feels great to know you are willing to learn more with regards to fundraising. We wish you well in that endeavor and all others.

I will reach out to new donators over the course of this month. With the new year just having started, most people still have their good intentions prioritized and they will be more eager to do a good deed now than later throughout the year. With the Christmas days (love and sharing) just having passed by, most people have that gratitude still freshly in their hearts.
The pandemic also is a good time to make people more aware of the importance to donating to health care causes. I'm raising money for breast cancer research. People will be more eager to donate to health care causes amidst of a health crisis, than when it's a far from their bed show (once the crisis is over).
So attracting 6 new donators this month will be my number 1 priority. I will work out a plan to do so in accordance with the SMART and KISS principles.
That's me, too. I look forward to taking more fundraising courses
@Suman_Sen, we wish you all the best in your endeavor.

Hi, Just so you may please share your thoughts.
For instance: would it be better for a board to have a ways & means commitee that is sorely responsible for fundraising? Or is the convention of having each board member responsible for direct contribution or fundraising more effective?
Hi all- This month, I will take both of Tom Wolf's other Philanthropy University courses, Fundraising: Connecting with Donors or Fundraising Strategies to complete my understanding of philanthropic fundraising. Thank you Tom!
After taking this course I am motivated to take the remaining two courses within Philanthropy University's fundraising specialization. This will better prepare me to fundraise and interact with donors for my organization
@Facilitator, thanks for making it clearer for me.
The "ways & means" committee is in this case what we have all been used to, however, from our knowledge as of now we know fundraising is best done collectively (teamwork). Therefore, each board member can also fundraise to ensure continuity of a cause. Nonetheless, we can not hold them liable for no work done if they refuse to do that, unless it is stipulated as part of their duties as board members.
@kilicerdem, we wish you all the best in your endeavor.
Such an awesome decision you have taken @rainieschulte. May you excel in your endeavor. Thank you for staying to complete the course with us.

@ChegeSimon @julietmyjewel I hope you have started to reach out to your networks if fundraising is needed for your organizations. That would be a very good experience for fundraising from outsiders at a later stage.
I agree. Thank you Nelson
quite interesting
In the next month I will fully assess our fundraising for 2020, identify priority areas for 2021, and fine tune communications materials.
In the next month, I plan to use the four criteria to evaluate all of the new donors that I am considering approaching to help better frame our communications with the donors.
Such a laudable endeavor @jillwuqu. We wish you all the best in that regard.

It feels great to know that you are ready to implement knowledge acquired in the course @tmadhlayo.
I am going to draft a grant application identifying our needs with regard to capital and operational support and speaking to how that will aid the aims of the donor.
With this course I have a very good understanding of all the myths and criteria to consider, be objective, work as a team, be transparent, be a listener and grant a benefit both to those who need it in charity and to the donor.
After introduction to fundraising course I, will follow all the myth to fundraising and continue with Tom Wolf's other fundraising course in Philanthropy university.
am looking forward to be a great fundraiser
I do hope to keep up with the work regarding the whole specialization in fundraising from Philantrophy U. Also, the theoretical improvements should follow a better acquaintance with my organization and its demands, when it comes to how it is structured, what are the relevant aspects regarding how to search for a perfect donor and how to address the core variables we studied here.
I have learnt a lot about fundraising in a short while. It is an eye opening experience for me and I will go further to
learn about Fundraising Strategies.
All the best in your endeavor @Emma_Kingdon.
Such a laudable accomplishment @irmacuellar.
@marianayante, the relevant aspects regarding how to search for a perfect donor is by starting with our immediate family and friends (the ones around us). The course does well with practical assignments to help us understand these basics to assist us pursue a cause.
All the best in that regard @ritareal, and congratulations for completing the course successfully.
I feel motivated and I am convinced that I can now initiate the fundraising process
Thank you
This course has inspired me greately to fundraise
I have ben in fundraising for years and this felt like the best refresher ever. The little things you would assume get back to top of your mind
The course was indeed helpful to me also, I have gained more insight on how to identify potential donors and raise more funds for my projects.
Great eye opener, and so many things that I previously overlooked, I will put into practice.
After completing these two modules, I felt motivated to go forward fundraising. Before I didn't know anything about the topic but now I feel skilled for the topic. I next months, I will do my best to implement what I have learned in this course. Thank you

We are glad our course made a positive impact on you @Blacka.
This course helped me a lot to refresh some of the key points related to fundraising. Now, I will sit with my team and share all the learning firstly with the core members and then with the volunteers.
We prepare proper documents related to fundraising and how to approach the potential donors and hopefully we will do very good in coming days.
this was an opener, i previously thought i knew about fundraising, well, i was wrong. great piece
I found this class to be mostly review. I have done a lot of fundraising for other organizations and the main thing I learned from this class is that I am pretty good on the fundraising parts, however I need to build more of a foundation for the non-profit we're starting before I can even begin fundraising. I need a clear concise mission statement, a plan for how to move forward with timelines and budgets in place, and a clearly defined board, before people will donate to my organization. Time to get to work on all of that!
TAKING PART IN FUND RAISING NEEDS A PROPER STAKEHOLDER ANALYSIS TO KNOW YOUR POTENTIAL DONORS AND THEIR AREAS OF INTEREST. IT CAN BE A DUNTING TASK IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT IS THE SPECIFIC AREAS OF INTEREST OF THE DONORS
YOU ARE VERY CORRECT. ALL WHAT YOU HAVEMENTIONED IN YOUR PIECE ARE THE SPRING BORAD FOR FUNDIN RAISING.A WELL STRUCTURED ORGANIZATION CAN ATTRACT POTENTIAL DONORS
In the next month, I will devote my time to learning more about fundraising and start practicing everything I learn.
@SuperEllie, we wish you all the best in your endeavor dear. Congratulations for a successful completion of the course.
