Target populations
There are different types of target population, with varying approaches need.
- Beneficiaries/Change agents - this is the most important target population, as this is what your mission is all about. Different projects will have different target populations, but the key one is where the project is going to work to facilitate change
- Usually, other stakeholders are considered "secondary" stakeholders, but sometimes a change is required in the way they operate for the project to succeed. For example, a legislative change might be required, so government becomes a very important part of the entire project.
