  • SETTING TARGETS FOR POLIO VACCINE

    Each and every project has goals that it has to achieve. The progress of the desired goals can be monitored by setting targets for the indicators that one is tracking. In a project where the ministry of health would want to reduce the spread of polio virus in the community, the health authorities devises a strategy that would ensure that all children are protected by a polio vaccine which can be achieved if 85% of all children under the age 5 are vaccinated. Hence the target to achieve heard immunity amongst children of 5 years and below age will be 85% of all children under the age of five in that population
