Creating a Theory of change
My name is Issa Kamara. I am the founder and CEO of Sinkunia Community Development Organization (SCDO) based in Alberta, Canada. SCDO supports the successful settlement and integration of African immigrant and refugee children, youth and families so they can thrive in their new communities in Canada. I am originally from Sierra Leone, West Africa. I have a Masters degree in social work and a Bachelors in Economics. I have taken few Philanthropy University courses in the past. I found them to be quite useful for my work. I hope to build and deepen my knowledge and understanding of theory change, how it leads to the changes we want to see in our communities.
