When a girl child is given the appropriate training, it affects even the economy of a country.
In most disadvantaged communities in Nigeria, the girl child is the least prioritized because it is believed that at the end of the day she will be given out in marriage to spend the rest of her life catering for her husband and the children she will have. But from recent happenings, it can be deduced that an empowered girl child can eventually grow and become the backbone of both her immediate and extended family and by extension affecting the Nigerian economy positively.
The Nigerian stakeholders must not under rate the criticality of the role of the girl child in building a sustainable economy that will stand the time.
