  • How does educating children in Kenya differ from in the US or Europe?

As the chairwoman of Live and Learn in Kenya Int'l NGO - and as a teacher myself - it is difficult to really understand the differences between how children are educated there and in the US or Europe. Discipline is a major aspect in the schools in Kenya from what I have seen - and I didn't like it. Children are beaten and put down for not knowing or not having something at schools that I've visited. At the Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center in Nakuru it is my aim to have the children taught with loving respect. But how can I be sure that that is how it is done on a daily manner - and not just when I'm watching?
