  • Having a clear understanding of self is important for someone/team developing the M&E plan. The M&E framework is as good as the person developing and implementing it. There are various assumptions and biases that if not detected and worked on undermine the credibility of the M&E plan. Such biases may be as a result of imperfect information, overambition, inadequate research or just naivety. Understanding oneself essentially makes one more objective and realistic about the the project life cycle.
