I am very new in my work as M&E officer. In my department we collect data frequently for project monitoring, it is therefore important to store the data well to avoid data leakage. I would like to learn more safer ways to encrypt my data. So far I am using excel and other external hardwares for storage

This is a digital table, often created with software like Microsoft Excel. their a lots of other examples of larger-scale databases which include Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud and MySQL. as noted that their are various ways differently to manage data with digital methods,physical file from data management,varies of different advantages listed below .
-Data can be uploaded and downloaded from nearly anywhere. Any person with the right software, hardware and account permissions can add new data or access existing data.
-Data can be easily accessed. Unlike data on a sheet of paper, the same data can be accessed by multiple people simultaneously.

Drawing from the explanation given in the lesson, i would like to agree that data management technology is very important in the Monitoring and Evaluation process because it gives an organization the upper hand over managing it data so it becomes important to have proper knowledge of information technology so as to know what steps to take to address soft ware related challenges by themselves and only in the worst case have to use the services of a consultant or an expert.

The choice of data collection and management tools should certainly be informed by cost as indicated and i would like to add that mastery of the tools used for data storage too is key as it would help in keeping information confidential and also preventing leaks that might cost the reputation of the organization or the dignity of the people from whom the information was gathered

I think about data management technology a lot in my current position, since I am generally the most tech savvy person on the team. I regularly create new tools on Microsoft Excel in order to manage and organize data, but, due to the complexity of some of the formulas, I always try to create accompanying SOPs so that fellow staff will understand how to use the documents, and they will continue to be useful if I were to leave the agency. Technical knowledge of data management technology can be exceedingly useful, but it needs to go along with some institutional knowledge to ensure that tools created today are still useful a year from now.

As we know now days Technology becomes our essential part of life day, Whenever we want to manage any data we have to keep it somewhere in our technology, like our smart phone, computers and so on.
Keeping data as digitally can help us accessing it easily to any one who has permission to access it.
