I also feel proud to share that I was a student of Anthropology Discipline which basically triggered my passion to work with human in first place. I am taking this course as i think as a M & E professional I should acquire clear understanding of theory of change to contribute in monitoring and evaluation in a meaningful way. The project reinforced the importance of SNN-BLEC’s strategy to put women’s rights at the center of its Kenya program. The EWRET project focused on four outcomes and achieved concrete results related to:

1. Increased women’s capacities and skills, their expanded roles, and income generation opportunities.
2. Improved management of traditional livelihood assets.
3. Increased local government and community engagement to support livelihood resilience.
4. Increased access to water for human consumption and community horticulture.

The 9-month pilot project reached 240 women and supported more than 240 small businesses. These vibrant businesses enable women to better manage risk and mitigate the impacts from reoccurring drought. My name is Emmanuel Muthui from Kenya. I am the founder of Nguzohub, a community based organization that empowers youth and women with life, entrepreneurship and digital skills in my community. I come from a very marginalized community in Kilifi County, where education levels are low, unemployment rates are much high than the national average, poverty is high, and girls are more at risk of dropping out of school or get married off at an early age. I wanted to change this by working with youth and women that are more at risk to not accessing better educational and career opportunities.

One of my personal areas of improvement is storytelling. I struggle to structure our stories (as an individual and as an organization) in an easier, authentic, and compelling manner to my audience. My experiences with ICRC have enabled me to develop a Theory of Change that is rooted in principles of collaboration and empowerment. This Theory of Change places emphasis on engaging stakeholders in the process of designing and implementing interventions, empowering local actors to take ownership of their development, and recognizing the importance of data-driven decision making. By creating an environment of collaboration and mutual respect, I hope to create lasting and meaningful impacts in the lives of those in need.

To bring changes, it need to be done a clear assessment and find the area of change need it , have a meaningful strategy which consistent resources and tools address the requirement.
