  • mission statement defines what an organization is, why it exists, its reason for being. At a minimum, your mission statement should define who your primary customers are, identify the products and services you produce, and describe the geographical location in which you operate.

If you don't have a mission statement, create one by writing down in one sentence what the purpose of your business is. Ask two or three of the key people in your company to do the same thing. Then discuss the statements and come up with one sentence everyone agrees with. Once you have finalized your mission statement, communicate it to everyone in the company.

It's more important to communicate the mission statement to employees than to customers. Your mission statement doesn't have to be clever or catchy--just accurate.

If you already have a mission statement, you will need to periodically review and possibly revise it to make sure it accurately reflects your goals as your company and the business and economic climates evolve. To do this, simply ask yourself if the statement still correctly describes what you're doing.

If your review results in a revision of the statement, be sure everyone in the company is aware of the change. Make a big deal out of it. After all, a change in your mission probably means your company is growing-and that's a big deal.

Once you have designed a niche for your business, you're ready to create a mission statement. A key tool that can be as important as your business plan, a mission statement captures, in a few succinct sentences, the essence of your business's goals and the philosophies underlying them. Equally important, the mission statement signals what your business is all about to your customers, employees, suppliers and the community.

The mission statement reflects every facet of your business: the range and nature of the products you offer, pricing, quality, service, marketplace position, growth potential, use of technology, and your relationships with your customers, employees, suppliers, competitors and the community.

Great! I think that this mission is critical. I am not sure where this program is located. So, a possible unintended consequence would be backlash from communities for teaching young people such topics.

I am very much interested in your for we are doing almost the same in the community. The unintended consequences would be that the elderly may not be pleased with children taught on sex education because they think it will actually promote sex when they know how to prevent pregnancies and HIV/AIDS.

  • To help people escape poverty through education programs.

Helping teen-mothers access education and fulfil their studies.

We help the pregnant and teen-mothers to receive education and fulfil their studies and train then in entrepreneurship.

Unintended consequence might be that in some areas, this program doesn't engage families enough who have restrictions on their daughters or wives studying. Program should address that.

    1. Providing free health services to less privileged.
    2. we go out to rural areas to offer free health care services to those that cannot afford it. we also counsel those with chronic diseases and offer referral services to nearby health facilities for follow up treatment.

Unintended consequence might be that this program is not sustainable because it doesn't address sources. With that, any treatment could just lead to stronger diseases.

  • Mission: Grow reading levels of learners in SA townships

We do reading for meaning activities that help the children understand meaning of words before they read interesting pieces of short stories. The learners to word quizzes with the sight-words from a story and when they finally read the short story it is easier for them to grasp the story.

this program my face the consequences of non-sustainability as the activities mentioned above do not include a partnership with the government in which through subsidies , you could have access to free drugs to help out your target population

an unintended consequence is that due to the fact that education will help them become more independent, these teen mothers may be seen as threats by some males in the society and treated poorly by their relatives or even partners

  • Mission Statement:
Globally share Igbo language and culture through Wikimedia.

    Activities:

    • We Introduce Wikimedia projects to more Igbo people that are literate in Igbo language at any level.

    • Organize awareness to recruit volunteer editors.

    • We add educational content about Igbo language and culture in Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects.

  • Good mission statement. I think one of the unintended consequences is influx of refugees or people claiming refugee status in order to access scholarship to study in Kenya.

Mission: Provide education to underprivileged youth of the Philippines
Activities: We provide financial assistance for their education, including meal and transportation allowance, and also cover all school-related expenses. We train the scholars in the areas of leadership, integrity, faith, and excellence through one-on-one coaching and do academic monitoring to ensure that they excel in school. We partner with parents to ensure that scholars receive the moral support from their families and help them finish their college education. Our vision is to see these scholars finish a degree, be gainfully employed, and help their families get out of poverty.

A very good program, giving financial assistance for youth training. However, how are you sure the finance will not run out at some point.

Good mission statement. I think one of the unintended consequences will be having so many of them graduate and not get a white collar job in the labour market because of the competition.

Help us to adopt learners in low income school:
    Activities:
Reading 4 meaning- Improve thier reading.
Numbers 4 life- levels of understanding numbers which is Math.

The unintended consequence may be the learners who have a negative attitude to Maths may see the project as a burden at the initial phases. This may lead to late realization of project goals

An Unintended consequence may be environmental degradation caused by refugees influx into the country that may strain the natural resources which may lead to deforestation.

Write your organization’s eight-word mission. Then, describe your organization’s activities in two to four sentences. Post both your mission statement and activities description.

My organizations eight-word statement: Empoverished families in the Philippines achieving financial independence.

    Activities:
We identify poor families especialy the poorest among the poor families in target barangay (community). We gather them and teach them livelihood programs suitable and doable in their community. As we teach them livelihood programs, we also teach them how to save and how to manage their finances, just the basic financial intelligence. Side by side with this, we also give inputs in the spiritual aspect.

The unintended consequence of this is that the parents of these vulnerable children would become dependent of your organization's support. The parents of the children should be also part of your organization's program so that they will be able to continue your organization's support to vulnerable children.

Good mission statement. I noticed that in the process of your organization's teaching reading comprehension, the valueing of the story was not included. So the unintended consequence of this is that the learners may overlook the valueing (the moral) in every story that they will read.

I really like ur mission statement because at least we have to make the world a better place But the main problem is that those poorest people might not want to follow up with this because they might be thinking what are they going to save when they had none

Reducing children's morality rate from Measles in Nigeria.
Massive publicity on television, radio, news media and social media. The dangers of measles as related to both its morbidity and mortality would be made obvious to the general populace. The traditional rulers will also be engaged to help disabuse the mind of the people from the wrong perception of the people concerning immunization

I think its massive disorder that is affecting a lot of children in Nigeria, It has beed broadcast on radio, television and in some social networks. The main concern is the rulers trying to convince the people that immunization is a bad way of treating measles
