Do you have any experience with Project Management? If so, please share it with us. We’d love to hear more about your expertise!
Im not gonna say that I have a vast experience in Project Management but I can only share with you my little experience with some of the projects I worked with during my time as IT worker within several organizations. I would like to talk a few about ups and downs and why the project manager is always the blamer. My experience some of the things that always gives me headache is the Proposal and Project Plan with its Work Breakdown Structure(WBS), milestones and Gantt chart, because these is where you need to follow and updated throughout the project. When you cant reach the timeframe, you have to make sure your Boss is updated, and be sure that everything will affect when the timeframe is off.

I am currently the Prevention Programs and Education Officer at the Ministry of Social Protection (Social Services Industry). My main objective for joining this program is to diversify my skills and gain a better understanding of Project Management. I have realized that even as an Education Officer I can and use techniques linked to Project Management, and it is this skill I intend to improve for everyday use. As its my first time here, I am unsure as if to join or not join a team; suggestions are welcome. Unfortunately, I have no Technical or Trained experience in Project Management, but I eagerly await the new skills I will gain from this course.

Hi my name is Teshia Jn Baptiste and I am joining from Saint Lucia a small island developing state in the Caribbean.
I currently work as a Project Manager for the Government of Saint Lucia in the Department of Sustainable Development.
I would be happy to join a team if will help me stay on course and complete all objectives. Also I believe being part of a team will certainly help increase my understanding and lessons learnt from persons from other countries .
I have been working on environmental related projects since 2012. It has been a very interesting and demanding especially since you have to deal with a larger number of stakeholders and the deliverables require continuous stakeholder consultations and it is governed by a Project Steering Committee. Having to manage and at the same time be directed by a committee can sometimes slow down the project's implementation timeline when you need certain approvals to move ahead at all stages. These usually occur especially with Government run projects.

Currently, I am handling a small team of less than 10 employees. In the future, I want to be able to handle more, and I want to be ready when that time comes.

    Thank you!

I am currently working as Projects Officer for a NGO that deals with Rescuing orphaned girls by providing them with with a secure place to call home where they basically receive all the basic needs from shelter, clothing, counselling, education, security and above all love. Im looking forward to gaining important insights on Project management in order to achieve better results in the projects that we plan to undertake. I'm currently a student in my last year of University studying a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Community Development. This certificate knowledge coupled with my degree will make a good combination in my career field. I love team work and would appreciate joining a team to actualize this course. My experience with Project Management is not so major but my willingness to learn brought me here. The knowledge I will gain will go along way in ensuring that we implement projects that will benefit the community and the nation at large.
