  • How do you build trust and strong relationships with your partners?
    My name is Dorcas Tyokase and my answer to this question will be discussed in the following points.

    • Committment
      To build trust and strong relationship with your partners you must first and foremost be committed to the work you want them to partner in. You must be committed to time, assignment, meetings and project. People are eager to partner with you if you show interest and commitment to what you say about your company.

    • Intergrity:
      You build strong relationship and trust when you are able to deliver maybe in quality and quantity of goods and services. When partners trust you to keep to your words in terms of business, they develop strong confidence in you and even refer you to other partners because of your intergrity.
      *Credibility:
      You build trust and strong relationship with partners when they percieve you to have a good quality of being believed or accepted as true, real, or honest. Partners will build a strong relationship with you if you are true and honest in all your dealings and if they find you credible enough to partner with.

    What is an example of a productive partnership that your organization has developed? What makes this partnership so successful?

    • A productive partnership, in my opinion, is one that is Mutually beneficial to all parties involved. In the Spirit of Harmony. Herein, our organisation attempts to predict and anticipate the possible need that we can fill for our partners.
      In light of this, We have already created a list of possible benefits for our partners.
      Success is when who, or that which, achieves assumed goals.
      Once the partners align to achieve set goals to upgrading standards of living on a vast scam.

    How do you evaluate potential partners? How can you tell that a potential partner will be difficult to work with?
    We evaluate our partners by their potential for good.
    Our evaluation process is also based on research. Profiling and offering services and benefits that they cannot refuse.

    How do you build trust and strong relationships with your partners?
    Honesty is key here. We do security and intelligence. Sometimes we cannot divulge information to some parties. So, we take care of who we send stuff to.
    The more interest we see is usually proportional to the data we send. For security reasons. We have access to information concerning our work.

  • What is an example of a partnership that your organization has developed?
    We have partnered with the ministry in charge of Agriculture to carry out our agriculture project. We have found this partnership useful to both parties. On our end, we gained extension workers from the government to facilitate our project in the rural community. On their end, they gained the empowerment of their citizens in agriculture and a boost to the availability of agricultural knowledge and food in the state

  • I will evaluate potential partners by his/her level of integrity.

    TO answer your question on an example of a partnership, i will be very necessary to state the reasons for which partnership if formed. ofcourse every partnership is formed to achieve a a defined common goal or set of goals. now the type of goal that the partnership sets to achive will help in defining the type and category the partnership will be. for example there are if the partnership is set to deliver humanitarian service to the people is can be best described as social partnership, another case is where partnership is meant to deal with a particular menace or insurgence using government enforcement it can be described as political partnership. also where the partnership is meant for profit taking where by the partners pull resources together work on a venture generate revenue are share there proceeds on whatever agreed terms is described as an economic partnership otherwise known as Joint Venture. it can be generally concluded that the ultimate goal that the partnership set to achieve or achieves determines the type of partnership it is running either social or political or economic partnership.
    to answer your question a every venture that are run under counterpart funding that is meant to deliver a particular service or provide a particular utility to aleviate or ameliorate a particular situation or streghten the people peoples economic and social life without no intentions or expectation of returns on investment in a social partnership. where the partnership is meant to earn a return on investment, it is an economic partnership otherwise called joint venture, while the political partnership could be could have the characteristics of both the social and economic partnership.
    Examples of Partnership
    using the Nigerian Example;

    1. the Nigeria, Cameroon and Niger governments partnership through the partnership of Nigerian Armed forces and the Cameroonian and Niger counterparts on military/ security intelligence gathering on the fight against insurgence in the 3 countries. the sole aim for the partnership is to win the war against Boko Haram insurgency and the extermination of extremism in the chad Basin. This is a political Partnership having elements of Social Partnership.

    2. the partnership between Nigerian authority and the international donor agencies and international humanitarian agencies to rehabilitate the victims of insurgency and IDP's in the Northeastern part of Nigerian through a good programme called Northeast Regional Initiative managed by the presidential committee on the northeast.
      Another examples is the Nigerian Authorities partnership with International organization on the fight against HIV/AID, Maternal/ Child health, war against Polio, and management of downs syndrome. this partnership involves NACA, MOH, UNICEF, WHO, EU, USAID, etc.
      Theses two examples are social partnership. the characteristic to understand here is that the partnership involves counterpart funding meant to deliver service to the people but not meant to return investment.

    3. the partnership between Nigerian government and china to build Railway infrastructure in Nigeria. here there is pulling of resources together by the two partners with the sole aim of generating generating and sharing of returns on investment otherwise known as profit taking. the nigerian partner brought th investment opportunity and not havung the required fund and technoligical expertise to develop on the business model partnered with china who brought counterpart funding and technical know how, constructs, builds and runs the railway business, generate returns, recoup their investment and take profit share. while the Nigerian partners has achieved its aim of proving effective functional railway system for its citizens and also partake in the profit sharing. this kind of partnership is a joint venture.

      what makes the partnership successful is sincere commitment and strict adherence to the terms and conditions and rules of engagement of the partnership. set terms and conditions, rules of engagement with the partnership and communicate it clearly to the understanding, acceptance and endorsement by the partner. this rules of engagement should clearly define the conditions of operations, the benefit taking module, the resources contribution module, business operations management, risk sharing ratios and liquidation guidance policies.

    NO: 2
    the following steps are necessary;

    1. evaluate the potential/ present goals and ideologies of the partners .
    2. evaluate the antecedents of the partners taking cognizance of the prospects , past and present conducts and dealings and the nature of operations. this will be done using SWORT Analysis.
    3. Carry Out Risk Analysis: by this we carry out evaluation of the nature of business the partnership does, the profitability index using financial profitability performance analysis model like Ratios, and trends analysis and other appraisal technique.
    4. Interest test

    How to build trust and strong relationship. to answer this question the following are necessary;

    1. show respect and commitment to rules of engagements,
      2.show integrity in all deals.
    2. evaluate performance regularly and compare actual performance meets established standard. this is to ensure that programmes are done in line with laid down rules.

    @dorcas_t, I agree - Commitment, Integrity, and Credibility are three traits that help to build strong, trust-based relationships with partners. Thanks for sharing! Can you think of any examples that demonstrate the importance of these traits? Have you worked with a partner that either demonstrated these traits or did not? How did that affect the partnership?

    Thanks for the detailed, thoughtful response, @Pedro_chyke. I love how you've distinguished between the different types of partnerships - social, economic and political - while also thinking about the common principles that unite different types of partnerships.

    Agreed. The success of your partnership is based on the integrity of your partner. How do you determine whether your partner has integrity?

  • Again in at venture the two parties must do their best making the partnership work for the betterment of the duo.

  • It's a great idea to with social problems

  • Build a strong relationships with partners entails your understanding, principles and your motives.
    My little inputs is as follows;

    As pressures on community-based organizations increase and the issues faced by our society become more complex, the idea of cross-organization partnerships can hold much promise. Through partnerships we can contribute our part and also reap the benefits of others’ efforts. We can accelerate learning and distribute skills and knowledge. Also, we can add depth and breadth to our community impact.

    Organizations seek partnerships to add value through combined efforts. Although organizations may have different structures and approaches, they can work together toward common purposes and achieve shared results.
    A partnership is a give-and-take relationship that can strengthen organizations’ capacity for long-term cooperation and collaboration. To achieve the potential benefits of partnership, organizations must be prepared to build, sustain, and evaluate them in a thoughtful way.

    All this can be achieved through ;
    **common understanding,**Partners need to understand each other’s organizational framework, culture, values, and approach. Partners also need a clear understanding of individual members’ roles, responsibilities, and what the partnership’s division of labor will be.
    thank you, this is my take.

    To meet the needs of the marginalized groups and create decent work for all across multiple settings in my region, we partner with other organizations having similar goals and objectives. This has been successful for us because of the integrity, common interest and accountability of both partners.

    This information is a welcome development in this organization for all the social entrepreneurs to identify how to manage, nature and appreciate a g very good partners in their organizations.
    How do you evaluate potential partners?
    To enter into any partnership with any organization the mission and vision of your own organization need to be first of all considered.
    Will this partnership brings about growth and development to my organization?

    Now, the partnership will be so successful when both parties are having the same mission and vision?
    if the answer to the above question is yes,
    Now the next question will be how will I manage this partnership to bring growth to my organization?

    Such a partner must in the interest of result-oriented partnership, be willing to sacrifice in order to achieve a synergy that will yield result

    • How do you build trust and strong relationships with your partners?

    Thanks for bringing up a really important point: data security. Could you give me an example of a partnership that your organization has developed?
    detailed work done.
