Weekly Welcome 8-OCT-2018 for Marketing, Communications, and PR

    Hello @all!

Each week, we welcome new members and connect with continuing members of the Marketing, Communications, and PR community of practice so we have our own network for learning and improving the civil society work we do.

Let’s meet some of the people doing good work around the world!

    Reply and tell us:
    1. What does your organization do? And where are the people you help?

    2. What is a communications related challenge you are facing between now and the end of 2018?

    3. What is the best advice you received about Marketing or Communications?

We are so happy to have you here! You can come here when you need support in with Marketing, Communications, and PR and we encourage you to come back and help others with their challenges when you can.

For you who have been here, please reply to people who are new and introducing themselves. This is our way of building a welcoming digital space together.

    • My organization empowers young people through vocational training skills for sustainability and self-reliance.

    • The communication-related challenge we're facing now is organization's website, we need a volunteer who can help us develop one to enable us to reach many youths who needs our services.
The best advice I have received about marketing is the branding of business and the website

    Welcome @kcsds Charles!

We have a number of others in many countries who are also working with youth programs.

I recommend that you start a topic here or in the Kenya community asking for recommendations on finding website designers and builders that might be able to donate time and effort to your cause.

Also, have you heard of Nairobits? I know they are working on ICT training for youth and perhaps they might be able to use your website needs as a project for their training.
