  • Hi everyone,

I am Abimbola from Lagos Nigeria.
I am an Administrative manager, who now has HR responsibilities to bear. It has been a great experience, and I have been looking out to learn more about how to better do my job.

I think HRM is not the same everywhere. For example, the HRM where labour supply is surplus and demand is low often lead to employers exploiting employees, who due to lack of better opportunities, endure such exploitation.

Our job is to standardize HRM, the best way we can.

It's a great pleasure to be here and thanks for the war welcome.

    Hi Bimbola !

    I'm Jovian from Indonesia,

Nice to know you ! I'm also new here and I could relate about the HRM issue you mentioned. Its something very common especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. Its an issue that has been going on and on and has always been causing consequences and loss for both employee and employer.

    Hello Everyone,
My name is Sandra Meninwa. I work in the non-profit space specifically with the HR department where I recently transitioned from the Recruitment department to the Leadership Development department. Although I have more than four years work experience in the field of HR, this is a new focus area for me and I am a little anxious about it.

I would like someone to share what best strategies for coaching they have adopted in their organizations, what leadership trainings have they structured/designed and how do they measure impact in their organizations. In addendum, how do they keep people who earn very low income and receive periodic trainings highly motivated?

Hi all ( @all ), I think it would be great to discuss @Meninwa's great questions:

"I would like someone to share what best strategies for coaching they have adopted in their organizations, what leadership trainings have they structured/designed and how do they measure impact in their organizations. In addendum, how do they keep people who earn very low income and receive periodic trainings highly motivated?"

What do you all think? What ideas can we share with Sandra?

    Hi everyone,

My name is Olusegun Mayungbe. I run a social enterprise " Oluadepe Farms Nig. Ltd (OFNL) Our mission is to empower smallholder fish farmers (Including women and youth) to create a livelihood. We will do this by supplying smallholder fish farmer with inputs they needed under financing term, provide extension services and market access to their produce at prevailing market rate.

I have never held any Human resources management post but as an entrepreneur wearing many caps, I have performed some of the functions of human resources. I will like to learn more about functions and resources or tools that help simplify HR management. I will also need expert volunteers if any to support our work pro-Bono till we can afford a paid HR :). www.oluadepefarms.com

    Thanks
