  • Hi everyone,

I am Abimbola from Lagos Nigeria.
I am an Administrative manager, who now has HR responsibilities to bear. It has been a great experience, and I have been looking out to learn more about how to better do my job.

I think HRM is not the same everywhere. For example, the HRM where labour supply is surplus and demand is low often lead to employers exploiting employees, who due to lack of better opportunities, endure such exploitation.

Our job is to standardize HRM, the best way we can.

It's a great pleasure to be here and thanks for the war welcome.

    Hi Bimbola !

    I'm Jovian from Indonesia,

Nice to know you ! I'm also new here and I could relate about the HRM issue you mentioned. Its something very common especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. Its an issue that has been going on and on and has always been causing consequences and loss for both employee and employer.

    Hello Everyone,
My name is Sandra Meninwa. I work in the non-profit space specifically with the HR department where I recently transitioned from the Recruitment department to the Leadership Development department. Although I have more than four years work experience in the field of HR, this is a new focus area for me and I am a little anxious about it.

I would like someone to share what best strategies for coaching they have adopted in their organizations, what leadership trainings have they structured/designed and how do they measure impact in their organizations. In addendum, how do they keep people who earn very low income and receive periodic trainings highly motivated?

  • Hi all ( @all ), I think it would be great to discuss @Meninwa's great questions:

"I would like someone to share what best strategies for coaching they have adopted in their organizations, what leadership trainings have they structured/designed and how do they measure impact in their organizations. In addendum, how do they keep people who earn very low income and receive periodic trainings highly motivated?"

What do you all think? What ideas can we share with Sandra?

    Hello @all!

I’m Scott (you can message me at @ScottM) and I’m the community manager for these community spaces that exists separately from the courses.

I would like to get your ideas about how we (me and all of you) can make this community space better and more useful for everyone.

Would you reply and answer these questions?

    1. Do you find the weekly welcomes helpful? How could we make them better?

    2. What can we do to help you interact with each other more? It might be a new feature. It might be a project we can work on together. It might be something else!

    3. What online communities do you participate in on a regular basis? What can we learn from those digital spaces?

If you are new, please do not be shy. Just say hello and something about yourself. We are friendly and welcoming here!

    1. the weekly welcomes is helpful. it helps introduce people to the community and share their areas of specialization.

    2. I think a bi-weekly topic of discussion as pertaining to strategy and planning and a case study will help us interact more. also we can pick from the question asked from previous week and discussion about it.
