Many thanks, colleagues!
I am pleased to be here. I have always wanted to develop my knowledge of M&E by way of training and networking/ collaboration.
Considering the fact that Nigeria is way behind in the adoption of M&E system in public institutions, I am embarking on a major research on M&E in Public Institutions for Effective Peace-building Projects. I will give the full details in due course. I recently co-authored a paper on Leveraging ICT for Effective Educational System & Development Evaluation in Nigeria, the publication of which is being awaited.
I want to network with those in Peace and Development work/ research. I do pro-bono services - You can ask/ consult with me on related field. But if you have major assignments, please do not hesitate to bring me in.
Every good wish!
Egwuatu
Thank you for the warm welcome. I appreciate.

I will need all the help I can get to make this a success and grow reaching as many women and young people we can reach and making the impact needed.
I look forward to learning here and I am hope to be part of such projects.

Hello everyone, i am Taiwo Olowokere, i work with an organisation that focus on work and family related issues and how the two can be integrated.
I major on developing programs aimed at solving problems occasioned by work-family conflict in children and marriages. I am excited to be a part of this communityWelcome Taiwo ( @Olowokeretaiwo ). So great to have you here!!
That sounds like really important work. What types of projects are you working on now?
It sounds like you, @Judsky-17 , @Udunma , and @JoyElomena all do work that involves children and youth empowerment. It is so great to see people working on these issues. Do you have any questions or thoughts to share with each other?
I'm glad this community has helped bring us together. Depending on our locations, I hope we'll be able to meet after running our courses and sharing ideas here.
Great, will like that
Where are you?
I'm in the Niger Delta
Hi, been occupied with my business. But am ready to undertake my course now. Thanks
Same as me
Hi everyone, My name Is Lekan, I live in Lagos, Nigeria, I currently work as a program officer with Women Advocate Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC). I am here to unlearn, relearn and continuously learn new things. It's a pleasure to be here.
I am Clifford Isimoya and I work with an organisation that is committed to Youth Entreprenuership and Empowerment. I am here to unlearn, relearn and be re-engineered for better performance in service delivery.
I am glad to be here to meet with men and women of great minds who are positively making great impacts in our society. Let's connect and work as teams.
Thank You @Mark_G
It's a delight being on this platform and i commend the initiative, institutions and the team behind the work on the platform. My Nigerian colleagues i'm pretty overjoyed knowing and reading through all that's being done by you guys, and the desire to learn more to better deliver on your humanitarian goals. I can't wait to see how groundbreaking our learning will deliver on the potentials it offers.
I am passionate about development in the third world, and someday dream to see a civilized society in the African Nations. I've been brooding on lots of ideas and concepts to make this a reality and hope with this platform and your ingenuity we can make this happen.
Looking forward to a great learning and "developing experience".

Thank you @Mark_G for appreciating our presence in this community and apologies for the late response. My name is Ofobrukweta Kevbe I work as the Monitoring and Evaluation officer in my organisation. Presently in my organisation we offer reproductive health services with emphasis on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment. One project I would like to be involved with is the issue of Drug Abuse Advocacy among youths. This is a typical and pressing issue and has become a great concern in the world at large. Dear community members would appreciate if ideas can be shared as it regards project implementation in this aspect of public health concern.
Thanks for this opportunity. I look forward to expanding my knowledge on Project Management and Monitoring & Evaluation.

Welcome Felix ( @phelixson28 ) and @Bitty656, it is wonderful to have you here!
It is great to hear that you are both interested in learning more about monitoring and evaluation. I encourage you to connect with each other and others who share that interest! A great place to do that would be in this community (to connect with others in Nigeria who have knowledge of M&E or who want to learn) and in the Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning community of practice. That is a great space to connect with other learners who have questions, thoughts, and ideas about M&E!
I also encourage you to enroll in our Planning for Monitoring and Evaluation course (which begins next week) if you would like to learn more about M&E and build your skills. You could take the course together!

It sounds like you are doing really vital work! Did you see this week's Share a Story post? That could be a great place to discuss drug abuse advocacy with others in Nigeria. It is so great that you would like to be involved in a project on the topic. Maybe you could find others here to join you!
Also, as someone who works as an M&E officer in your organization, do you have any advice for @phelixson28 and @Bitty656? They both just mentioned that they would love to learn more about M&E.
Thanks again for posting!

That is great to hear! Do you have any thoughts or learnings from the course that you would like to share here? Is there anything specific to M&E in Nigeria that you think would be useful to discuss? I am glad you are continuing to take courses and are currently participating in the Project Management course!
