  • Monitoring and evaluation strategy

strategy is developed to provide an effective M&E framework which is designed to measure progress towards achievement of the overall goal and objectives of the project

  • A monitoring strategy is a framework within which you can plan your monitoring and reporting. An integrated strategy should provide for the different types of monitoring you do and identify connections with monitoring carried out by other organisations.

  • The monitoring and evaluation strategy is organized into four main streams of work:
    results monitoring,
    grant monitoring, evaluation, and
    dissemination and learning.

  • Monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) is important to ensure that your communications are strategic, helping you to understand and learn from what works, what doesn’t, when and for whom. It is also an important tool for accountability, helping you to demonstrate uptake, and that your work is of high quality and useful.ex_com_questions.jpg
