Philanthropy University is a place for leaders of local non-profits from the Global South to discuss, share, and connect with each other in order to better support their organizations and communities. These conversations may be quite serious, very fun and light, or anywhere in between. As you interact with each other, we ask that you always show respect for your fellow learners so that all feel safe to participate.

Philanthropy University has a zero tolerance policy around hate speech, which includes attacks on any learner based on:

• Race
• Ethnicity
• Tribal affiliation
• National origin
• Religious affiliation
• Sexual orientation
• Sex, gender, or gender identity
• Age
• Disabilities or diseases

You may not publish the private or confidential information of other learners, including but not limited to personal email addresses, street addresses, bank account information, or others.

We will enforce these community guidelines in a number of ways, including but not limited to:

• Asking you nicely to stop
• Asking you less nicely
• Temporarily restricting your account’s access
• Temporarily suspending of your account
• Banning your account from parts of Philanthropy University
• Banning your account from all of Philanthropy University

We encourage all learners to upload files to the community space to better share favorite resources with other Philanthropy University learners. When uploading files, please make sure you are legally allowed to share these files. If we are alerted of copyrighted files that have been uploaded, we will promptly take them down and alert the learner who uploaded them.

If you see any behavior that you believe is in violation of these guidelines, please make sure to “report” the discussion post or learner profile in question for the Philanthropy University team to review.
