    Agriculture remains the main stay of Nigerian economy after oil. Different statistics held that 70% of Nigerians are farmers. Currently, about 30 million hectares of farmland under cultivation every season. This figure falls short of about 78.5 million hectares required to feed Nigeria's growing population at 2.6% according to World Bank Statistics. The rate of urbanization: 4.3% annual rate of change (2015-20 est.) according to while the total urban population stands at 49.4% of total population (2017). The problem? Growing and increasing. The gap in cultivated land, the farmers leaving the rural areas for white collar jobs and, for lack of basic infrastructures in the rural areas among so many other. Can the Social Entrepreneur do anything to change the narrative? Absolutely.. We shall be discussing in more details. Lets make a change.

  • Nigeria is a predominantly agrarian society, every state have different crops they are known for capable of being produced in commercial quantity. Let's return farmers back to their farm.
