Two major ways to increase reach are -
(1) Massive publicity of the project and
(2) Attracting would-be beneficiaries with some other incentives
The effectiveness of the project can be improved by getting more organizations to partner as donors. Definitely, there must be periodic accounts rendered to the donors. -

I can improve my organization's reach through advocating too the community and through this they will change behavior and find value in the organization program.
In order to be cost effective in the organization program i will spearhead activities that would create returns as we continue accomplishing the mission and build partnerships that would improve efficiency. -

In fact several people are in need in our intervention zone but we are always unable to reach all of them due to the shortage of ressouces. Others are in regions that are not easily accessible because of two following factors: insecurity and lockedness.

My organization's beneficiaries are easy to reach as essentially every nearby community is looking to receive our help so to improve our reach we need to increase our resources and human capital. We need to improve advertising and have a strong presence on local schools and universities where the volunteers are from. We also could have a stronger image on media such as instagram and a website so more people can get involved in the project as our impact is proportional to the amount of people who assist our volunteering days.
To increase effectiveness we could partner up with companies who could give us things like the cement we use in the staircases at a subsidized price so it is more cost effective.

Accountability means openness and sincerity. It pays to be sincere. When funds being spent are properly accounted for, it builds trust and encourages more support.

As a scholarship foundation in the Philippines, a country of 7,107 islands, our challenge is how to widen our reach while staying cost efficient. Our strategies are:
- identify more areas where we can train volunteers to execute the scholarship program
- maximize use of free technology like Viber and Messenger to communicate constantly with volunteers in the different areas
- create an online database system that will help us monitor scholar academics, character formation progress, fund requests and liquidations, etc.
- part of our program is character formation and leadership development programs. to maintain quality of these programs, we have acquired a partnership with a mobile micro-learning app that will deliver these training modules to our scholars online
All these has allowed us to grow the number of beneficiaries to almost double, in just the last 2 years.

The present organization that I belong is a private school, Senior High School. I believe that the most important way to improve reach is to give or provide quality education with effective teachers who are willing to go an extra mile for the good of the students. Teachers should not count the time spent and the salary they receive but the feeling of fulfillment it could give them. The efficiency is practically measured the the number of students who pass the subject and the performance done at the end of every period.

To improve our organization’s reach therefore is either to increase the number of participating schools or the number of students per school or both or better still, to replicate the program in other cities through out the country.

@Ling , quality education is no doubt a reach strategy , but may not be sufficient to attract so many people. I think your organisation may consider extensive publicity ,especially leveraging the social media to promote what your organisation is currently doing.

Permit me to classify your reach strategies as 'cutting edge strategies ' . They are laudable. I see your reach strategies also compliment efficiency strategies. However, for your organisation to remain relevant for a long time, I think you should consider having a formidable framework on Efficiency Strategies.

To improve an organisation's reach, it will be prudent to work closely with both the central and local government authorities and solicit their support for the project or programme. Once you gain the commitment of government, you can press home some demands for policy formulation and reforms in favour of the project. Also, with the support of government, gaining the commitment of local stakeholders becomes easy and makes the implementation process as smooth as possible.

An organisation's efficiency can be improved by creating ownership by local stakeholders. Once stakeholders feel the project belongs to them, they tend to commit their own resources to making the project a success thereby reducing cost by the organisation on project implementation.

Good point on improving the reach and efficiency of your school.
You may also consider the use of technology to extend your lessons to deprived areas where you may not be able to setup a new school completely. You can create virtual classrooms in existing schools and deliver online courses to students who cannot travel to where your school is located.
One teacher can deliver to hundreds of students at different locations at a time thereby improving efficiency.
Further, you can embark on an enrollment drive and sensitise people about the kinds of services your school provides to attract students and improve your reach. -

What are some ways you can think of to improve the organization’s efficiency?Basically, the first thing to do to is to identify the marginalized in a certain barangay (community), our usual favorite sector is the marginalized Filipino women. After identifying them we organize these women. Perhaps we can start with 25 marginalized Filipino women.
When organizing, it will do good if we have a ready livelihood program that we can already introduce to the margainalized clients. Every member who will avail of the livelihood program will be monitored. There will be record keeping and each member will receive a passbook as an exercise of transparency. As we educate the marginalized clients about the livelihood program, we also educate them how to save and prepare for life's emergencies.

Its important to specify that human ressources are availbale locally because many educated are unmployed due to the fact that there are not many opportunities in the region.
Financial ressources as well as material ressources are not easily found locally -
I think I can increase my organization’s reach by going into the corners of impoverished communities and rendering services useful to them.
Increasing efficiency lies in donors. Or providing a service (as an organization) which the wealth can pay for ,in other to raise funds.

My organization intends to give skills to secondary school graduates through schools program. Right now we have the capacity to accommodate 10 participants from 12 schools every 3 months making a total number of 120 students. To improve our organization’s reach therefore is either to increase the number of participating schools or the number of students per school or both or better still, to replicate the program in other cities through out the country.

Our nonprofit organization is the baby of a ten year old training institution that provides the skills to the learners. The nonprofit organization will not need to go out to spend huge somes of money for training since the parent organization is the custodian of the skills and can provide it, not just at a cheap rate but also at a very high standard thereby making the program very cost-effective.

On 'cost effectiveness' leveraging on your parent company is equally laudable. However, what are the measures your organisation has put in place to measure ' efficiency '? or what are your organisational culture on efficiency?

- Replicate Best Practice of programs which suitable and applicable on targeted development area.
- Provide Train of Trainer for volunteers and community members (cadres).
What are some ways you can think of to improve the organization’s efficiency? - Partnering with local government and adjusting the organization outcome with the government strategy in order to share roles and responsibilities.
- Utilizing user-friendly technology hence community members can use the technology to support the program (for example for reporting or monitoring purpose using cellular phone)
- Develop a business process with full involvement of the local community, therefore the community member may understand and able to work toward achieving the program goal.

I like the idea of advocating the community toward behavior change. Nevertheless, in my country, we may need to have extra effort to change other stakeholders (partners) which is the local government, especially on the efficiency aspect.

- Obviously, one way we can increase our reach is to increase our top line - donations. Another is consolidate our projects. Are there areas we can use the same resources and cover more area? This also becomes an area of efficiency as well.
- One more way to be more efficient is to properly maintain our resources. When we are down, we don't help one person.

Org to work for: I would work for a Health Org looking to reduce malaria transmission. This org currently uses TV ads to advise people how to avoid mosquitoes and treat malaria.
Improve Reach: The reach can be improved by radio ads and caravans.
Improve Efficiency: Efficiency can be improved by less commitment to TV ads in markets where TVs aren't used. -

Secondly to start educational programs at schools and community centres.

We are currently doing this in the organization that I work for. We serve as technical advisors to different ministries of education in assisting the shift to skills-based education. Continuing this work in other contexts would be an effective way to improve reach. This actually goes hand-in-hand how to improve efficiency. By expanding the number of beneficiaries through expansion into another context we will also be able to reduce cost per beneficiary.

However, for your organisation to remain relevant for a long time, I think you should consider having a formidable framework on Efficiency Strategies.
The use of free technology and utilizing available applications is a phenomenal idea to increase reach. This also in turn can affect efficiency as the cost per beneficiary may become lower with more beneficiaries!

Efficiency- Lack of Funding and resources ,we are unable to run an effective program .

Publicizing the organization project is one of the best way to improve the organization reach, while publicizing the project, more awareness has to be done at least this awereness should be in terms of one-on-one talk with people just to enlighten them more about the project
Efficiency could be improved by seeking for influencial or accountable people in the society to help in sponsoring or to be a partner in the project -

We can increase efficiency by organizing programs to train Teachers and students. -
I can improve my organization's reach through; Advocacy and community mobilization, Sexuality education and counselling, Resource material development, Clinical and referral services and job/vocational skills training.
The ways I can improve my organization efficiency is by partnering with donors or other companies that works in line with our goal or mission, and also to create a budget that will be beneficial and worth-while without having a loss.

A way of improving my organization's reach is to create a clearer target for each of the programs.
And to improve it's effiency, for what i observe is the cost-effectiveness can be achieved when we can scale-up. Providing the beneficiary capabilities of replicating the impact and inspiring others to do the same by showcasing the impact of work. -
One if the ways I think the reach of the organization is by doing public enlightenment, making people understand what the organization stands for and what benefit it is to the population. Also let the people see I need for them to be a part and beneficiary of what you're offering.

For the Women Entrepreneurship Facilitation Network I'm working with, which is trying to better the lives of women and young girls with low literacy or unwed teeenage mothers from disavantaged areas, some of the avenues I will propose to improve our reach will include:
1- Conducting some information camapaign of our activities with associations in this areas
2- Publicising some of our success stories to make our target population more confident about taking part to training programmes
3- Approching Government authorities to cause them to invest more in infrastructure, such as youth and women empowerment facilities: Multimedia centres, specialised vocational training centres, improved electricity, water, communication services
4- Involve local and regional authorities, religious dignitaries as they constitute the closest link with families of target populations.
As concerns ways to improve our organization's eficiency:
When working with these beneficiaries in a precise doamin such as helping them setting up an income generating activity, we do it such a way that they can mentor another mate after a short period of time so that what was meant for one beneficiary serves for two or three. -

Advocacy is the best way for my organization to increase its reach and its efficiency. Involving government bodies in our actions is also a good starting point for impacting more people. Being accountable and complying with financial plans is also a good way to improve our efficiency. It is also proven that involving young volunteers is good to spread impact and reduce cost for interventions.

i work with National Commission for Refugees in Nigeria.
My Agency is in charge of refugees affairs. We improve our reach and efficiency by adopting technology in service delivery.
The refugees are located in different part of the country mostly in Ikom, Ogoja, Calabar, and Obudu in Cross River state, others settled in Taraba state and Benue state. It is very expensive reaching out to the refugees so we devised a feed back mechanism where the refugees can interact with representatives of the Agency. this has save cost both on the part of the Agency and the refugees.
The refugees dont need to travel down to Abuja to renew their status or provide certain information or complain. -

- as a mission organization that provides free and affordable health services to the less privileged, one way to improve reach is to canvass for publicity that will increase the number of beneficiaries our free services will impact.
- one way to improve efficiency is to recruit more volunteer health professionals who will offer their services and skills for free. this way, the total cost to deliver services will reduce and efficiency will increase

this idea is laudable. however, young volunteers will be difficult to get in some instances except they are out of jobs or they have to schedule their leave for the period of the project. older volunteers are still a good deal

SOME WAYS TO IMPROVE THE ORGANIZATION'S EFFICIENCY ?
1) By finding among target people some educated ones to be our relays in their communities. This will significantly reduce transport costs by reducing the number of trips of our services.2) By considering the possibility of making birth declarations by SMS or telephone, while waiting for the villagers to come to the city to justify these births.

This will surely be a valuable addition to their CV and at the same time an impacful action for our project. Today, international institution value volunteering as important to work on nternational development projects.

Advocacy is the best way for my organization to increase its reach and its efficiency. Involving government bodies in our actions is also a good starting point for impacting more people. Being accountable and complying with financial plans is also a good way to improve our efficiency. this idea is laudable. however, young volunteers will be difficult to get in some instances except they are out of jobs or they have to schedule their leave for the period of the project. older volunteers are still a good deal

by branching out in rural communities i will increase the reach of my organization to uneducated kids present there.
i could increase the efficiency of my organization by creating campaigns to collect reusable school materials such as books, uniforms,shoes.backpacks...etc so as to cut down the cost on buying new school material the kids will need to go to school as well increase the number of school materials available for more kids who will eventually be taken care of by my organization. -

I think we can increase our reach by using technology. We can reach 70 children a day and by using internet. We can connect more students into our classrooms using technology (Skype, google hangout). For efficiency we can use 1 lead tutor to do the online lessons to broadcast to the other learners and the schools appoint senior student/teachers to become assistants when the lessons are happening (To make sure the set up is ready & the learners are given support when doing tasks)

Asking the question :What is it we don't have and how can we AFFORDABLE try to improve it . Negotiations with suppliers. Implement a low cost model . Our solutions should have the best results and impact to the communities that we serve.

By having a well experienced person in finance who will allocate the finances adequately and making sure the money we are spending for each beneficiary is cost effective. -

Your approach will be effective

For my organization, one proven way to increase our reach is through advocacy, this has to do with using influenza like the media and decision makers to create awareness and finally cause change.
For efficiency we advocate for volunteers and motivate them intrinsically. This helps us achieve at lot with limited resources.
